» Learn to Fish
Contact us to arrange a training session with one of our qualified fishing instructors. We will gladly
spend time with you and your family and show you how to start enjoying the fabulous sport. No need
borrow someone's gear - we have spare here. Just let us know when you are coming.

» Wild Bird Watching
Ask one of the Redwood Park team to borrow a Bird Watching chart while you walk around the nature
trails. Use this chart to recognise (and if lucky snap photos) of the birds - we have had some rare
ones pop in to see us. Here is a link to current study of the birds observed at Redwood Park.
» Wildlife Recognitions Guides
We have a tree, bird and fish recognition guide for you to download as you walk around or fish at the
Park. You can download them on our park guides page.
» Net Dipping - coming soon!
Borrow some nets and buckets and walk around some of the smaller ponds around Redwood Park.
There are frogs, newts and little fish to investigate - and maybe more.
» Take it easy!
Enjoy a leaisurely stroll around the Park on our nature trails, sit at the bench in front of a small
ornamental coi carp pond, surrounded by willows, or check on the fruit in the orchard.
» Shop...
Yes we do have a great bait supply, but for those who like to leave fishing to their partners and
kids, take the opportunity to try out some of the best shopping in the York area.
