Redwood Park was proud to help this very worthy cause to help a family pay for the required surgery to help Ben. From the Ben's Wish to Walk website

A little over a year ago we heard about several children who had gone to a Children’s Hospital in America and has surgery called Selective Dorsal Rizhotomy.

And so to today - Ben was accepted for surgery on 6th May 2010. Now the fund raising begins....

We have a huge mountain to climb and raise an estimated £45,000 by January 2011.

Redwood Park - Ben's Charity Fishing Match

Bob Smithson, Ben's grandfather, arranged a charity fishing match along with friends and fellow anglers and with full support of the Redwood Park team.

Match Summary

32 anglers fished over three lakes. The top six of each lake winning tackle prizes.

Many thanks to Tony Chappell, family and friends of Redwood Park for all thair efforts in making this a memorable day and to the tackle sponsors and prize providers in the raffle.
